Molly Wexler
FOUNDER
Molly J. Wexler is the founder of Last Bite Films. She recently co-directed and produced the documentary short Tom Lee Park: A Riverfront for Everyone, which is streaming on WKNO/PBS. Molly was also the co-director and executive producer of The Little Tea Shop which screened in competition at 20 festivals in 2020-21. Last Bite Films is currently in production on Shine On, a narrative retelling about Tom Lee in partnership with the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, TN.
Before founding Last Bite Films, Molly spent years involved with Indie Memphis Film Festival, eventually serving as Board Chair from 2017-2019. Her first career was as a fundraiser and programmer in the non-profit space. She continues to stay active in that sphere and is involved with several organizations.
Joseph Carr
Producer
Joseph Carr is a Memphis-based film producer and production manager with a strong focus on independent, Southern-rooted storytelling. He holds a BA in Communications with a concentration in Film & Video Production from the University of Memphis and was a finalist in the Directors Guild of America’s Assistant Directors Training Program.
Over the past two decades, Joseph has worked across a variety of narrative and documentary projects, both shorts and features, with a particular interest in stories that highlight distinctive aspects of regional history. He collaborates closely with the team at Last Bite Films, where he helps shepherd projects from development through post-production. His most recent film, Shine On: The Story of Tom Lee, explores the legacy of a Memphis hero and is currently airing on the PBS affiliate WKNO.
Matteo Servente
Director/Producer
Italian by birth and Memphian by choice, he studied filmmaking in Italy, France and Australia. Since moving to the US in 2008, he directed and produced several award winning short films. He is a Biennale Cinema College, IFP No Borders and Torino Film Lab alumni and he is also involved in youth education and mentorship for young filmmakers.
Anton Mack
Producer
Dedicated to developing great talent, Anton’s career has spanned many sectors, cultures and continents in search of emerging new artists and leaders. After serving for over 25 years as an academic dean and law firm executive, he has returned to his first love of film and theater.
Anton leads Century House and its media, studio and events production groups, where he spends most days producing short films, advising up-and-coming directors and creatives, and developing studio space for new projects. Anton recently served as a producer for two Last Bite Films short films, A Riverfront For Everyone and Shine On - The Story of Tom Lee. His next project will showcase the amazing talents and personalities of Memphis and Paris.
